Peacock Paint Studio

An ambitious and creative art portfolio.

Smart is Sexy

Ha! Made you look!

Acrylic and oil on canvas. 4′ x 8′, my biggest so far. I had to paint him on a ladder.

This painting was done after a conversation with a young man after he told me that education was over rated. Then, I found out that a part of this work, based off of a 2009 GM advertisement, was the center of a lawsuit between the Hebrew University and GM, over the rights to Einstein’s image. Hebrew University lost due to the statute of limitations had passed and Einstein has been gone for over fifty years. I turned him into a current day celebrity and put “Ellen” underwear on him reflecting that he would have been on the Ellen show and of course would have danced with her. He has silk pajama pants on, reflecting a casual Einstein and I used a couple models (including my husband) for other parts of his body. The background, done in a magenta, has “E=MC2” in a gloss gell stenciled in random places behind him.

I have a very corky sense of humor. I hope you all enjoy this one. He is SOLD!

Very dramatic and quite an impact Dawn! I am extremely surprised that this work has not yet sold!

Thank you Joseph. I have been trying. I have been told that the size is an issue(4′ x 8′) and believe it will just take the right person. I had so much fun painting it. I even painted his eyes so they follow you. :). I’m a corky gal with a whimsical soul. Thank you again for the encouraging words. Peace.
